Hey! I’m Laura. Up until now I’ve been totally career-focused. My luck and ambition have taken me some pretty cool places. I’ve travelled the world interviewing celebrities as a host for YTV, I’ve written for some of Canada’s most read publications and I’ve stress-sweated through my blazer while doing live hits as a reporter for CBC News.
But I’ve never been as terrified as I am to take on my next gig: Mom.
It’s not the changing diapers and breastfeeding (though I anticipate those will be way harder than I think), it’s the choices I have to make that scare me. I have to keep a helpless baby alive and turn it into a respectable human being?!
There’s a lot of negativity in the world. I want to raise an eternal optimist. Someone who sees the light instead of the dark. Someone who believes the glass is half full til the bitter end.
Cause I don’t.
